Sponsored By: Representative Raskin, Jamie [D-MD-8]
Introduced
Summary
Fast-tracks House consideration of H.R. 7007 by adopting a specified substitute and waiving standard procedural objections. The resolution deems adopted an amendment in the nature of a substitute that is printed in the Congressional Record and submitted by the Committee on the Judiciary's ranking minority member, with the last such amendment taking precedence if multiple are filed. It waives points of order against consideration and against the bill as amended. Debate is limited to one hour split equally between the committee chair and ranking minority member and one motion to recommit is allowed. It suspends clause 1(c) of rule XIX and clause 8 of rule XX and directs the Clerk to transmit a message to the Senate within three calendar days of passage.
