250th anniversary of the Army Medical Department would be marked by a resolution honoring AMEDD's long history of care and medical innovation. The measure would call on Members to gather to commemorate AMEDD's 1775 origins under Dr. Benjamin Church, salute battlefield medicine from Revolutionary War battles to modern conflicts, highlight contributions from yellow fever work and the polio vaccine to telemedicine, and express gratitude for the 50 AMEDD members awarded the Medal of Honor and the countless lives saved by Army Medicine.
