Designating October 10, 2025, as "American Girls in Sports Day".
Sponsored By: Representative Houchin, Erin [R-IN-9]
Introduced
Summary
Would designate October 10, 2025 as "American Girls in Sports Day" and urge protections for biological women and girls in sports. The resolution would celebrate women’s impact on U.S. sports and recognize Title IX’s role in supporting female athletes. It would highlight alleged biological differences and states that since 2003 biological men have displaced women from over 950 championship titles, including at least 28 titles across volleyball, swimming, mountain biking, track and field, weightlifting, and cycling. It would call on U.S. and international sports-governing bodies to protect biological women and girls. The measure is non‑binding and would not change funding or existing law.
