New rules for agency charge cards

If enacted, this bill would require each federal agency to make a charge card policy within 30 days. Agencies would require returning and physically securing any agency charge card when an employee leaves. Agencies would require removing cards from personal or agency digital wallets or devices and immediately deactivating, suspending, or closing the account. Agencies would tell the card issuer the card is no longer valid for that employee. Covered people include employees who separate, retire, or held certain senior or Schedule C jobs. The Comptroller General would report to Congress starting one year after enactment and then yearly on deactivations, controls, late fees, and related account activity.
