This bill would evaluate attaching Department of State consular officers to U.S. Coast Guard and Navy missions in Pacific Island countries to see if sailing with ships can improve access to consular services. It directs the Secretary of State, working with the Coast Guard, U.S. Indo-Pacific Command, and the Navy, to produce a feasibility report to eight congressional committees within 120 days.
