119-s-5348119th Congress

Depot Data Transparency Act

Sponsored By: Senator Cornyn, John [R-TX]

Introduced

Summary

This bill would increase transparency of depot-level maintenance funding. It amends 10 U.S.C. 2466(d)(1) to change what Defense Agencies must report each year. Reports would show both the percentage share and the dollar amounts actually expended and projected for depot-level maintenance and repair. The dollar figures must be broken out for each statutorily defined "covered depot." The amendment changes reporting content only and does not authorize new appropriations or funding.
