VA salary waiver ends after five years
If enacted, this bill would limit VA's ability to waive pay caps for critical health care staff. It would remove one clause and renumber the remaining waiver clauses. The Secretary's authority to waive the statutory pay cap under subparagraph (A) would end five years after the date of enactment. The waiver power would still be available until that sunset date, and the bill would not create new funding or change eligibility rules.
