Easier membership in Catawba Tribe
If enacted, the bill would drop two rules for joining the Catawba Indian Tribe of South Carolina. You would not need to be a lineal descendant of someone on the final base roll. You would also not need to show you kept political relations with the Tribe. This could let more people qualify for membership and any benefits tied to membership. The change would take effect upon enactment.
