Visa denials and no court review
If enacted, the government would deny visas, admission, and immigration benefits to any noncitizen who follows Sharia law. The Secretary of State, the Secretary of Homeland Security, or the Attorney General would make these findings. Noncitizens in the U.S. found to follow Sharia law would have visas or benefits revoked and be removed. They would also be deemed inadmissible or deportable. If a noncitizen lies about this under 18 U.S.C. 1001 to federal officials, they would face the same consequences. Decisions under this bill would be final. Courts could not review them.
