Planned plugging of Storage Well 4646

Columbia Gas Transmission plans to plug and abandon injection/withdrawal storage Well 4646 at the Victory A Storage Field in Wetzel County, West Virginia. The company says the well contributes a negligible amount to total deliverability and that plugging it will limit integrity risk under the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration Storage Final Rule. The project is estimated to cost $1,054,400, and Columbia states it will not affect the current quality of service to its storage customers.
