DEKRA Seeks To Expand NRTL Scope

DEKRA Certification Inc. applied to expand its Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) recognition to add nine test standards and OSHA has a preliminary finding to grant the expansion. DEKRA submitted the application on February 4, 2025 and OSHA completed an on-site review March 3–4, 2025; OSHA is seeking public comment by February 18, 2026.

OSHA Proposes Adding Lawnmower Standard

OSHA proposes to add UL 62841-4-3 (requirements for pedestrian controlled walk-behind lawnmowers) to the NRTL Program's List of Appropriate Test Standards and seeks public comment by February 18, 2026. If added, NRTLs may certify compliance to this standard for products covered by OSHA-required testing.
