Patient Advocate Tracker Act
Sponsored By: Representative McClain
Became Law
Summary
Creates a VA-wide electronic system for veterans to file and track health care complaints. The VA Director must set up an IT system within 18 months that lets a veteran or their designated representative submit a complaint online and view its status at any time, including interim and final actions taken. Each complaint must go to the appropriate patient advocate. The law does not authorize new funding or add remedies beyond the filing and tracking capability.
