If enacted, this law would provide $460,000 from Alabama's Education Trust Fund to Southern Preparatory Academy in Camp Hill for its educational program for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2027. The funds would be released only after the Academy submits an FY2027 operations plan with goals and measurable performance indicators approved by the Alabama Director of Finance and an audited financial statement covering fiscal year 2025. The Academy would also need to send quarterly reports showing actual spending and progress, and an end-of-year FY2027 report describing services, costs, and measures of program effectiveness. The Director of Finance would forward required reports to the Legislative Council. The act would take effect October 1, 2026.
