New $30 fee for Randolph County defendants

Beginning October 1, 2026, a $30 booking fee applies to defendants booked into or held in Randolph County Jail. They must also be convicted or plead guilty in a case prosecuted in Randolph County circuit or district court. The clerk records the fee on the court docket and collects it with other court costs. It is added to all other fines, costs, and charges. Courts can waive it only when all other case fees, assessments, costs, fines, and charges are waived. Each month, the clerk sends collections to the sheriff for the county Law Enforcement Fund, for county law enforcement purposes.
