Starting October 1, 2026, the person serving as Montgomery County probate judge on June 1, 2025, gets $153,725 yearly. This replaces any other salary for that person. The law retains the $88,000 base pay rule effective October 1, 1996. That rule allows raises matching countywide percentage increases for full-time employees, at the same time, capped at $3,000 per fiscal year. Pay continues to come from the Montgomery County Commission general fund, paid like other county employees. The law takes effect June 1, 2026. The person's actual prior salary is not stated, so the size of any pay change is unknown.
