Montgomery County funds its legislative delegation office

Beginning October 1, 2026, the Montgomery County Commission must create a fund for the county's Legislative Delegation Office. All money the county receives under Alabama Code Section 40-25-82 must go into the fund. Delegation members can spend the money to support the office. The county's largest municipality must provide adequate office space. It must also provide phone service, internet, electricity, water, and other necessary utilities. The law sets no dollar amount.
