Campus military testing and recruitment for students

Beginning October 1, 2026, each Alabama city and county public high school must designate one school day each fall for testing. Military recruiters administer the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) on campus that day. Students choose whether to participate, and schools must provide appropriate testing accommodations. Alabama city and county public school systems, public colleges and universities, and their divisions must also give Armed Forces and Department of Homeland Security military recruiters equal access. Recruiters receive the same information and access to students and campus facilities as prospective employers or postsecondary schools.
