Beginning June 1, 2026, Tallapoosa County’s probate judge may charge an additional fee for remote access to office records. This covers access by computer or another electronic or digital system; the law does not require or set the fee. Fees go into the judge’s special indexing fund or a successor special fund under the judge’s control. The judge decides how to use this money for office maintenance, operations, technology, and improvements, including recording and remote-access services. The law also confirms remote-access fees collected and spent before June 1, 2026.
