Probationers can move counties

People on intensive or supervised probation can ask to move supervision to another Arizona county. They must provide written proof of qualifying caregiving, work, or housing plans that support positive change. The sending department must review the plans and victim-safety concerns, then send the request within seven business days. After checking the request, the receiving department must allow the person to proceed within seven business days unless the plan is not factual or the move would endanger a victim. After the move, the receiving county generally cannot send supervision back because of a violation or new offense, except for a revocation hearing or by court order.
