Bill Overview

Analyzed Economic Effects

2 provisions identified: 2 benefits, 0 costs, 0 mixed.

Health workers keep licenses during renewal pauses

When an Arizona health profession board pauses renewal processing, all current licenses and certificates it issued are automatically extended. The extension lasts through the pause. Current license and certificate holders also owe no renewal fees during that time.

Occupational credentials stay valid during renewal pauses

When a covered Arizona licensing authority pauses renewal processing, all its current licenses, permits, certificates, and registrations are automatically extended. The extension lasts through the pause, and current holders owe no renewal fees during that time. Covered authorities are state agencies, departments, boards, or commissions issuing Title 32 credentials to individuals who provide services to others. This rule excludes Title 32, Chapter 40 licensing entities and health profession boards. Health profession boards have separate protections described above.
