Earlier nondiscrimination rules for public university contracts
The law starts covered public higher-education contract protections on June 4, 2026, instead of July 1, 2026. It covers contracts entered into or amended by leaders of the Board of Regents, its institutions, and UConn. Covered contracts include qualified contracts defined by state law, plus revenue or nonmonetary contracts that are not qualified contracts. Contracts must meet specified state nondiscrimination requirements and include the required legal text, or include a required nondiscrimination pledge. That pledge bars discrimination based on protected traits and promises compliance with applicable federal and state nondiscrimination and affirmative action laws.

To make various revisions to the unclaimed property program and Second Injury Fund recommended by the Treasurer.
SB 00475, AN ACT CONCERNING JUDICIAL BRANCH OPERATIONS.
To make various changes to the general statutes (1) governing Judicial Branch operations, processes and procedures, and (2) affecting civil and criminal proceedings.
SB 00484, AN ACT CONCERNING DISTRACTED DRIVING AND THE SAFE OPERATION OF A MOTOR VEHICLE IN A HIGHWAY WORK ZONE.
To (1) include the playing of a video on a mobile electronic device that is in full view to the person who is operating the vehicle as a form of distracted driving, and (2) specify that distracted driving in a highway work zone is a violation of the state's reckless driving statute.
SB 00444, AN ACT AUTHORIZING CERTAIN MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES TO SERVE ON MUNICIPAL BOARDS OF FINANCE.
To authorize municipal employees to serve on municipal boards of finance if such employees receive less than ten thousand dollars in salary or wages annually.
SB 00370, AN ACT CONCERNING THE HOURLY COMPENSATION FOR ADJUNCT FIRE INSTRUCTORS.
To require the hourly compensation for adjunct fire instructors to be adjusted at the same percentage rate as any general wage increase and cost-of-living adjustment included within the most recently ratified agreement between the state and the State Employees Bargaining Agent Coalition.
