30-day license waiver for foreign team clinicians in DC

The law lets clinicians licensed in another country treat a visiting foreign athletic team in DC without a DC license. Care is only for the team’s athletes, support staff, and coaches. It must happen at the team’s basecamp, lodging, training sites, or match sites in DC while the team is competing. Each clinician’s exemption lasts up to 30 consecutive days. The law does not allow practice at DC clinics or healthcare facilities. This emergency law is in effect for up to 90 days after mayoral approval.
