Avanti property tax debt relief

The District’s CFO can forgive up to $377,000 in FY 2026. This covers real property taxes, interest, penalties, fees, and related charges. It applies to amounts assessed by September 4, 2025 for 3421 14th Street NW (Lot 123, Square 2836). The property must be occupied by Avanti Real Estate Services, LLC. It must be used for real estate and brokerage services, promoting homeownership, hiring D.C. residents, and training people for real estate careers. If relief is granted, any tax sales to collect those forgiven debts are cancelled. Relief is discretionary and limited to Fiscal Year 2026.
