Non-union D.C. police get pay parity and back pay

Current non-union, uniformed D.C. police now have the same pay schedule as union officers. Pay parity is retroactive for FY2024 starting October 8, 2023, and for FY2025 starting October 6, 2024. Back pay covers Oct 8, 2023–Oct 5, 2024 and Oct 6, 2024–Oct 4, 2025. The FY2026 pay schedule takes effect October 5, 2025. DCHR and the Chief Financial Officer must update payroll and issue these retroactive payments.

Former non-union D.C. police excluded

Former non-union, uniformed D.C. police are not eligible for the new pay or back pay. A narrow exception may apply under D.C. Code § 1-611.06(d)(2).
