New pay rates for non-union D.C. police

The law approves new salary schedules for non-union, uniformed Metropolitan Police Department officials. FY2024 pay rates apply retroactively to October 8, 2023. FY2025 pay rates apply retroactively to October 6, 2024. FY2026 pay rates take effect on October 5, 2025. The resolution itself takes effect on October 1, 2025.

Most former D.C. police not covered

The new salary schedules do not apply to former non-union, uniformed D.C. police officials. An exception in D.C. Official Code § 1-611.06(d)(2) can allow coverage. Former officers who meet that exception receive the new rates.
