Faster callbacks for Florida unemployment benefit claimants

Beginning July 1, 2026, Florida's Department of Commerce must run a callback pilot for claimants calling about reemployment assistance. Callers can leave a phone number rather than stay on hold or get no answer. The department must return every call in the order received by the end of the next business day. By December 31, 2027, it must report to the Florida Senate President and House Speaker. The report must cover the pilot's effectiveness, suggested changes, and whether to continue or expand it.
