Florida preserves and approves legal-tender rules

The law approves 16 rules for banks holding public money and businesses handling gold and silver coins. These rules cover reporting, disclosures, coin custody, loss payments, penalties, and law enforcement response. Approval serves only to satisfy an effectiveness condition under Chapter 2025-100, Laws of Florida. The law also removes that chapter’s repeal of specified legal-tender provisions, keeping those provisions in force.
