Annual autism training for Florida school staff

Beginning July 1, 2026, Florida school districts must offer at least one autism-specific training opportunity each year. The training is for teachers, other instructional staff, and school-based administrators. Districts must develop it with their assigned Center for Autism and Related Disabilities. It must cover evidence-based teaching, behavior support, communication, and inclusive practices for students with autism at every level of need.
