Some reinsurance managers face fewer rules

Beginning July 1, 2026, Florida excludes certain underwriting managers from its reinsurance intermediary manager rules. The exception covers managers handling assumed facultative risks—reinsurance accepted for individual risks. Their managed facultative business must be less than 10% of the reinsurer’s assumed annual gross written premium. The law does not provide a direct household benefit or payment.
