Georgia transportation department can build Defense-funded base roads

The law keeps a ban on state and local agencies building or maintaining private roads. The Georgia Department of Transportation can build or fix private roads on military bases under an agreement with the U.S. Department of Defense or another federal entity. The Defense Department or that federal entity must pay all costs. No state or local money is allowed for these base-road projects.
