Euharlee lodging tax funds set for tourism

The law sets how Euharlee uses lodging-tax money above a 5% baseline. Each year, at least 50% of that extra money must fund tourism promotion, conventions, and trade shows through the city’s destination marketing group or another authorized contractor. The rest of the extra money must pay for tourism product development projects. These rules follow the city resolution adopted February 4, 2025.

Hotel stays in Euharlee taxed up to 8%

The law lets the City of Euharlee charge up to an 8% tax on room charges. You pay this hotel-motel tax when you rent a room or campsite in the city. It covers hotels, motels, inns, lodges, cabins, and campgrounds run by businesses licensed by the city. The exact rate is set by a city resolution adopted February 4, 2025.
