Local fireworks bans near horse facilities

Counties and cities in Georgia can ban consumer fireworks. Rules can cover up to 200 yards from a facility that houses horses or other equines in a confined area. This applies only if your local government passes an ordinance. Local ordinances may offer special event permits to allow temporary fireworks inside the 200-yard zone. Owners and nearby homes get less fire, noise, and animal stress. If you plan fireworks near a horse facility, check local rules and permit options.
