Dedicated fund for Georgia 9-1-1 upgrades

The Constitution authorizes the General Assembly to create a Next Generation 9-1-1 Fund by general law. It also authorizes dedication of certain revenues to the fund. Money in the fund is used only to expand, run, and maintain 9-1-1, including the move to Next Generation 9-1-1, and related costs. Any other use is void. Deposited money does not lapse at year end and is not subject to usual lapse limits. A general law sets which revenues are deposited and who collects them.
