Probate judges now elected without party labels

The Georgia Constitution now requires nonpartisan elections for all probate judges. Voters choose probate judges in county races without party labels. Terms for judges elected in nonpartisan races start on January 1 after the election. This timing rule covers probate judges and the other state judges named in the law.
