EPA labels shield pesticide makers

Beginning January 1, 2026, an EPA‑approved label on a pesticide counts as a full health warning under Georgia law. The rule applies if the product is registered in Georgia or with the U.S. EPA, and the label matches the latest federal human health review. People cannot sue under state law to demand extra warnings beyond the EPA label. This protection does not apply if the EPA finds the maker hid, lied about, or destroyed key health‑risk information to get or keep label approval.
