Beginning January 1, 2026, Hawaii defines draft beer as beer in an individual container holding at least five gallons. The previous minimum was seven gallons. This expands the beer eligible for the existing lower draft beer tax rate. The law sets no new tax rate and does not specify savings for sellers or consumers.
