Restaurants gain control of reservation listings

Third-party digital reservation services need written permission from a restaurant or its authorized designee to list, promote, arrange, or sell its reservations. A person charged for an unauthorized reservation, the restaurant, or a qualifying designee can sue within one year. A court can stop the activity, award actual damages up to the fees collected for the violation, and grant attorney fees, costs, or other appropriate remedies.
