Starting July 1, 2025, the Governor must request state funds tied to added lodging-tax revenue and tax on cruise fares. The request must divide the money equally among natural resource protection, hazard resilience, and visitor and destination projects. The law does not guarantee that the funds will be approved. Starting January 1, 2026, part of the lodging-tax revenue also goes to the Special Land and Development Fund for covered projects, including bond financing and state bond debt costs. The law does not state the share or dollar amount.
