Tuition relief for Iowa veterans with disabilities
Beginning July 1, 2026, qualifying veterans get tuition and mandatory fees waived at Iowa Board of Regents institutions. Veterans must apply and be admitted, with a VA-certified permanent 100% service-connected disability rating. They must be ineligible for, or have exhausted, other federal or state tuition aid, including Pell Grants and VA education benefits. Each semester, the institution adjusts the waiver to cover tuition and mandatory fees left after other federal or state aid.
