Nonresident deer hunters must buy extra licenses

Beginning July 1, 2026, nonresidents buying an antlered or any-sex Iowa deer license must also buy an antlerless-only license. Both licenses must be purchased at the same time. This requirement does not apply in hunting zones the Iowa Natural Resource Commission exempts through its rules.
