Emergency medical workers paid from state fund

Beginning March 28, 2025, the state Emergency Medical Services Fund can pay salaries and wages for emergency medical care providers. The money can be used when they provide emergency medical services. The law uses the existing state definitions for who counts as a provider and what services count. This helps local emergency services agencies cover payroll and keep ambulance and first-response services running. The law does not add new money or list dollar amounts.
