Beginning July 1, 2025, the law adds $420,500 for Idaho’s extended foster care payments, on top of existing funding. Idaho’s Department of Health and Welfare receives the money through its Foster and Assistance Payments Program. Funding includes $222,900 from the Cooperative Welfare (General) Fund and $197,600 from the Cooperative Welfare (Federal) Fund. The money is for trustee and benefit payments from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026. The law does not change who qualifies or set a payment amount for each person.
