Beginning July 1, 2026, the 2026 general election ballot must include Public Question #1. Voters are asked whether to amend the Constitution to let a city or town court judge live in the court’s county or in the closest bordering county. County election officials must use the exact wording and follow state ballot rules. The Constitution changes only if voters approve.
