Beginning July 1, 2026, insurers cannot require you to post a gun-free zone notice. This is a written sign saying firearms or ammunition are banned or restricted. The rule applies only to property and casualty policies (Class 2 and Class 3) issued, delivered, entered into, renewed, or amended after June 30, 2026. Current policies stay the same until they renew or change after that date.
