Court filers keep paying $1 fee

Beginning July 1, 2025, Indiana continues its $1 legal aid fee by removing the cutoff scheduled for that date. Filers pay it for each civil or probate action requiring a civil or probate costs fee. It also applies to small claims actions requiring a small claims costs fee or township docket fee. All money collected goes to the Pro Bono Legal Services Fund.
