Beginning July 1, 2026, local fair boards can get a one-year alcohol permit for fairgrounds. The permit has no fee and is not subject to quotas. Boards must list designated vendors, event dates, and a floor plan, and use certified servers. Designated vendors may sell drinks by the glass during legal hours and must follow state prohibited-sales rules. Minors may be present in the permitted areas at those fairs.
Starting July 1, 2026, breweries, wineries, distillers, and beer or liquor retailers can take part in county fair events under the fair’s permit. They may sell or give samples as their own permit allows. They must notify the commission or get approval when required. Normal limits still apply, like sample caps, days-per-year rules, and container and labeling rules.
