Lower income taxes for Indiana households

Indiana’s individual income tax rate is 3% for tax years starting in 2025, 2.95% in 2026, and 2.9% in 2027–2029. These rates cover residents and nonresidents with Indiana-source income. For 2030–2043, further cuts of 0.05 percentage point depend on state revenue growth. Actual collections must grow at least 3.5% in each of four specified fiscal years, and forecast growth must reach 3.5%. The Budget Agency checks these tests; qualifying cuts start January 1 of the even-numbered year after its decision. After 2043, the 2042 rate remains in place. The law took effect July 1, 2025.
