Indiana license without exam for veterinarians

Beginning July 1, 2026, the Indiana veterinary board can issue a license without the state exam to qualified veterinarians. You must show one of these: graduation from an accredited vet school, an ECFVG certificate, or a PAVE certificate. You must also have been licensed and practicing for the five years before you apply in a U.S. state, territory, or D.C. with similar rules. You must meet the general requirements in IC 25-1-21 and this chapter.

Indiana registration without exam for veterinary technicians

Beginning July 1, 2026, the board can register qualified veterinary technicians without the state exam. You must have completed an accredited veterinary technology program. For the five years before you apply, you must have been a registered veterinary technician in a U.S. state, territory, or D.C. with similar registration rules. You must meet the general requirements in IC 25-1-21 and this chapter.
