Drivers get agriculture plates with set fees

The law creates an optional Friends of Kentucky Agriculture license plate. Kentucky’s Transportation Cabinet must keep producing it. Drivers who choose it pay $28 initially and $23 for each renewal. Each fee sends $12 to the Transportation Cabinet and $6 to the county clerk. The agricultural program trust fund gets $10 from the initial fee and $5 from each renewal.
