The law lifts an ethics ban for Kentucky Department of Agriculture employees outside the Kentucky Office of Agricultural Policy. They can participate in, apply for, or receive funds, awards, and contracts administered by the department through that office. This includes programs through the Agricultural Development Board or the Kentucky Agricultural Finance Corporation. The exception applies back to March 12, 2021. Employees within the office do not receive this exemption.
